A Fantastic Afternoon of Live Jazz and Swing at Highcliffe Castle

ePic14 croppedLife Education Wessex were fortunate to have been chosen as the beneficiary of a fantastic afternoon of Live Jazz and Swing on  Sunday 6th July 2014, that was kindly organised by Highcliffe Rotary Club to raise vital funds to support our work. It proved to be a highly entertaining and fun afternoon for the thousands who joined us at the stunning Highcliffe Castle; ‘Swing Unlimited’ a superb local Jazz band, with a huge following, kept us entertained throughout the day and we were soon tapping our feet to the best sounds of Glenn Miller, Jools Holland and Count Basie. There were competitions for children, stalls and entertainment including face painting, having your picture taken with Alice (in Wonderland), a barbeque, bar, reduced entry into the castle and a superb display of classic cars.

The Coleman Group agreed to be lead sponsors of the event.

“Having personally experienced the work that Life Education Wessex do, some 23 years ago whilst at school, and the profound and long lasting effect it has as you grow up in a world full of decisions; it cannot be stressed how vital the service that Life Education Wessex provides is. Having recently become a father for the first time, it is comforting to know that through the continued work of Life Education Wessex, my daughter will also have the opportunity to be given the information she needs to make informed decisions as she grows up.” Ollie Parkinson, Marketing Co-Ordinator, The Coleman Group

“We were thrilled that the Highcliffe Rotary Club chose to support our work and that The Coleman Group sponsored the event, which meant that all set up costs were covered and that money raised on the day went to support our work with local children providing vital Health and Drug prevention Education across the region. We are very grateful to the Coleman Group and Highcliffe Rotary Club for their ongoing and valued support.”  Lorraine Hewitt, Fundraising Manager, Life Education Wessex.
