Rise to Harold’s Challenge

Be active, be healthy, be happy

And do something fun to raise money to help make a real difference to local children’s health and well-being.  Harold is the iconic Giraffe puppet img_5852that many children know and love who is used in mobile classrooms to engage with young children about health and food, and the effects of drinking, smoking and taking drugs. Harold has set the challenge to us all to complete one or more challenges to help us reach our target of 1,000 individual challenges or to raise £50,000 in the coming 12 months.

You can do anything to take part in Harold’s Challenge, with the emphasis being that it’s active and healthy. So whether you like to run, swim, jump,
walk, ride a bike, play golf, or just want to invite your friends round for a healthy charity dinner, there’s a way you can easily raise money.

I'd like to do something - what do I do next?

That’s Brilliant!

First of all, you need to Register an Interest with us, which can be done by following this link…

Next, visit the VirginMoneyGiving (VMG) website and create your fundraising page – use the link below:

Fundraise for us using Virgin Money Giving

It’s quick and easy and, once you’ve registered, you’ll have a personal link which you can email your friends/family/colleagues for them to donate online – it’s so much easier than collecting sponsor money!

Sponsorship money can also be Gift Aided through VMG which adds an extra 25p in the £ to your fundraising target.

The VMG website provides lots of information and ideas on promoting your fundraising page via email, Facebook and Twitter.

Please Note – When you visit the VMG website and you are using the Google Chrome browser, you may be presented with a white screen; if you do simply scroll down the page until its contents are displayed.

Please keep in touch and let us know how things are going and we’d love to see photos of your challenge.
